When Tim and I met, one of the things we had in common was a love of the beach, and we would visit Coney Island together all the time. We would swim, go on rides, play games… and dream about our future together.  It was early in our relationship and we would talk about one day living in Coney Island and enjoying the beach together every day.  We were falling in love fast, and anything seemed possible.

On new year’s day in 2004, we went to coney island to spend the day together.  Around sunset, we were walking on the beach holding hands, and suddenly he slipped a ring on my finger and asked me to marry him!  It was the happiest day of our lives, and Coney Island has been a very special place for us ever since.

Before I met Tim, I had visited Coney Island and bought myself a little parachute jump necklace at Lola Staar’s boutique on the boardwalk.  Years later, I bought a matching money clip for Tim to commemorate our engagement in Coney Island.

Three years ago, our dream came true when we moved to Coney Island together!  Now we’re living happily ever after, a Coney Island couple.
